Mediums: acrylic/medium on canvas
Style: Abstract
I am a self taught and self representing artist working in Abstract Art. As an artist and photographer, it is my experience in life that inspires my art.
Can you tell us about your first remembrance of creating?
With my Mother. She would be on one side of the room cutting up a pattern and sewing, while I would be painting or drawing.
Art and Music
I love a wide range of music, but mostly while in the studio it is good ole’ rock n’ roll.
Is there a message given to viewers through your art?
Each painting is in the moment, the feelings and emotions I am having right there and then I try and share through texture and colors.
Creative process
Once inspired I head into the studio, over look what colors I have, what size canvas I want to create on, do I want to use a brush or palette knife?… then I paint until I see what I felt inside.
What inspires you to create art?
Anything can trigger me to paint or sketch, the color of someone’s shirt, a song on the radio, or an image, idea that pops into my head.

How have you been selling your paintings?
I have sold online, as well as in Gallery and group exhibition/shows here in the USA and in AUS.
Promoting art online
As an artist, your work will only sell if it is seen. So I promote on a personal website, Facebook pages, and online galleries.
Influences
Leonardo Da Vinci for the fact that he was always learning, always curious, always teaching himself. And Picasso for the bold and strong statement of color in his work.
Please recommend another artist you admire, and tell us a little about them.
I have never studied another artist, or allowed another artist to persuade me one way or another. To paint and draw is just something that comes out of me, I need to get things out of my head to focus on other things in life.
Please relate something interesting in your life.
I love to travel here and overseas, and things I see inspire me so much that sometimes I need to get supplies on the way home to create as soon as possible. No matter where I am.
What is the most annoying thing someone has said to you about your art?
I have never had anything said to me that was annoying, it is more that I am judged for not going to Art school. They are impressed with my work until they find out I never went to school. Which completely floors me, I would think that would speak volumes of my own talent, instead of knowing I was taught to paint this way.
Do you have any regrets in your life as an artist?
That I gave up on it, that I always put it aside for others and their happiness. Which in the end caused me to loose myself and then them.
What plans do you have for the future of your art?
To always love walking into my studio, how it makes me feel. I love trying new things out and that feeling you get when it works. To see how people react to my art, what they see and feel, and of course to hopefully one day be able to support myself selling my artwork.
Advice for emerging artists
